E-mail Program Instructions

Summary

When you configure your account in the mail application, select the Exchange account type and enter the email address you have been given.
Most of the configuration will then happen automatically.

To manually configure your account as IMAP, enter the following settings in the mail application:

For receiving mail

Server address: outlook.office365.com
Protocol: IMAP
Security: SSL
Port: 993
Required authentication: email address (for example: name@stud.mruni.eu) and password.

For sending mail

Server address: smtp.office365.com
Protocol: SMTP
Security: STARTTLS
Port: 587
Required authentication: email address (for example: name@stud.mruni.eu) and password.

As a return address you need to enter the e-mail address that was issued to you (for example: if the user name is "anyname" then the return address is: anyname@stud.mruni.eu). If you enter another address, you will not be allowed to send out mail.
